Industrial Mechanic

Brookshire Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment across our production facility. Work may involve exposure to noise, heat, moving mechanical parts, and industrial chemicals.

Salary: Starting at $26.00/hr.

Location: Cuba, MO

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, compressors, and production machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
• Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively.
• Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other maintenance staff to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial mechanic or millwright in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an asset.
